Description of Schemes
Five day residential training to animal farmers at Gouriyakarma, Hazaribagh
To uplift socio-economic status of animal farmers, a total of 170 farmers (comprising 60 poultry, 50 piggery and 60 goatry) would be trained at Animal Husbandry School, Gouriyakarma, Hazaribagh in this financial year. By undergoing such trainings, unemployed youth/ladies can start their own enterprise and may generate further employment also.
Mass synchronization Programme under Information Network for Animal Productivity and Health (INAPH)
A massive drive of mass synchronization programme was conducted on 02.10.16 covering 400 villages in which artificial insemination of indigenous breed was done.
Multipurpose Artificial Insemination Technician in Rural India (MAITRI)
Under National Programme for Bovine Breeding (N.P.B.B) 57 trainees were trained in artificial insemination and primary first aid.
03 trainees were trained by Jharkhand state implementing agency (JSIA) in primary treatment of animals.
Animal Infertilty camp
Animal infertility camp is organized by department to solve infertility related problems in farm animals.
Calf rally is organized to promote insemination of livestock and promoting genetic upgradation.
Farmer Oriented Programme
Various farmer oriented programme like camps, vaccination, castration are being conducted by department on periodic basis to increase the animal productivity and health.
Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY)
A total of 130 animal health camps were organized in financial year 2016-2017 across various blocks of district.
Goat Development Scheme
A (20+2) unit of goat development scheme were provided to 53 farmers.
Vidhwa Samman Yojana
A (5+1) unit of scheme were provided to 40 destitute widows for their livelihood.
Poultry Development Scheme
1000 broiler constituent unit were provided to 27 beneficiaries.
Large Piggery Development Scheme
A (10+2) unit of pig development scheme were provided to 10 farmers.
Small Piggery Development Scheme
A (5+1) unit of pig development scheme were provided to 215 farmers.
